So who's ever hard of "Discover Life in America," a.k.a. the Great Smoky Mountains National Park All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory? If one realized that this was a scientific organization, I suppose the answer's obvious, but I was thinking that name could also be some sort of cultural history/travel organization, in which case C might have been a reasonable gimmick (athough a more expensive one). It's rare I have to call a level 2 question a WWOQ. :|

Here's their Name a Species website. The going rate is $2,500 to $10,000, depending on cuteness, I guess.

Yes, but that doesn't sound right when pronounced.

I hope they took it away from him after that.
In a creative fundraising initiative, the nonprofit organization Discover Life in America is selling the opportunity to do what?

A: Invent a language B: Hunt big game
C: Travel to space D: Name a species
I hadn't heard of this, but I'm pretty sure I would have been willing to pull the trigger on name a species.
A ferry departing from Pier 33 near Fisherman's Wharf is the only way for tourists to visit what San Francisco Landmark?

A: Transamerica Bulding B: Alcatraz
C: Ghirardelli Square D: Telegraph Hill
All the tours were sold out for the entire day the only time I tried this.

That makes no sense. It's Discover Life in America, not Discover Life Way Way Way Above America. It's just another example of a Millionaire question taking advantage of their contestants having to be 100% sure. He's never heard of the group, so even though logically there's only one answer, he can't bring himself to pull the trigger. There was an even worse one in today's show.

What does a pterodactyl's head resemble?
Yeah, and besides you can eliminate the other three since a monkey wrench is already named for an animal, a hammer would naturally be named for the hammerhead shark, and a screwdriver would naturally be named "The Eisenhower".

Thanks for the laugh SG it took me a moment to get The Eisenhower
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

He didn't say, but you're supposed to fill in those test sheets with pencil.
