#1 Post by etaoin22 » Sat Dec 06, 2008 7:34 am

Inspired by the completely apropos comment about Pelham:
Now, the list:

10 - Back to Ishtar
9 - Who's Afraid of Margaret Atwood?
8 - This --- Time --- It's --- Vegetables!!
7 - The Fourth Man
6 - Raging Bull pt 2: Pugilist Chic!
5 - Back with the Anti-reconstructionists.
4 - The Godfather, pt 2 (oops, that happened...)
3 - Citizen Kane: The Next Generation
2 - The Career
1 - Funny Aging BItch.

"Alien vs Hannibal Lecter" and others did not make this list, but I am sure the filmophilics here CAN DO MUCH BETTER!!!!

Though I do like #8. I wrote it down, so its copyrighten :D :D :D :D :D

Should been #1.

I haven't heard expounded the internal structure of the Letterman-style top 10 list, but I am sure out of the legions of TVaholics passing attention between net and tube, someone has figured it out. But #10 gotta be a good knock, rather than making you think..

I made an error in that for proper parallel structure,

#2 - The Careerist.

Sounds better, too.

OK, I couldn't resist and thought of a few:

Garfield: In Heat
Snow White and the Seven Palimony Suits
X-Men Unburdened: More than Wolverine's Claws "Come Out"
Die Hard: Victim of Viagara
Indiana Jones & the Proctologist of Doom

The single most unwelcome sequel I can imagine would be:

Billy Elliot, Coal Miner (After Giving Dance a Whirl)
Now generating the White Hot Glare of Righteousness on behalf of BBs everywhere.

Y'mean, that would be even worse than "Roseanne Barr in 'Swan Lake'"?

Rain Man vs. Predator
Easy Rider 2: Rascals on the Road
Some Like it Lukewarm
The Seventh Sense: I See Stupid People
Gladiator 2: Maximus Overdrive
There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.
