A new toy

#1 Post by Beebs52 » Tue Oct 21, 2008 7:45 pm

Those of you without old failing dogs think we're insane. And, we are. But, since we've accepted our insanity and must work within that framework, I decided to f*(# that s*#$, literally. Last night Beebs butt-blasted us just like an email blast of bad political emails, exercising a scorched-carpet policy after I'd taken a day off work last week to rug doctor the place after our weekend away debacle. Of course I stepped in it.

Therefore, I decided to go buy something that I can use on a daily basis if necessary. Got us a Hoover Steam Vac Clean Surge-trademark trademark trademark. It's awesome.

It's like a mini Rug Doctor, only didn't cost $700. It's light, easily fillable, emptiable, cleanable and portable. It did a fabuloso job on the horror that was last night. Plus, I can drag it upstairs to clean out the guys' rooms, those fetid stank-ridden repositories of all that is mandom.

Yessir.
Well, then

Great minds think alike (even if we think it for different reasons.) I bought a Hoover Steam Vac on Saturday. I'm preparing to give it its maiden voyage in selected areas tonight.

BTW, for anybody who is considering buying a carpet cleaner, the Hoover really does do a more effective job than the competing brands in the same price range. The spinning brushes and the more powerful suction provide better cleaning and faster drying.

I do not play a carpet cleaner on TV. I really am one.

I don't do carpets, but I do love my H2O floor steamer. I have a lot of Travertine tile in my
house and I can clean it quickly and without a mop and bucket. Probably not as
satisfying as steam cleaning those carpets, but it will just have to do for now. 8)

I'll add my delighted endorsement of my 4-week old Bissell PROheat 2X. #1 Son saw me trying out my new toy one evening, and when I came home from work the next day I discovered he had moved all the furniture out of the living room and steamed the whole room. The next day he did the dining room and master bedroom. I knew there was a reason I enjoyed having him around for a couple of weeks!

That's why he's #1!

Give Scott a few more visits to my home and I will buy me one as well.
