Weathers also played in the N.F.L. as a linebacker for the Oakland Raiders from 1970 to 1971.

Carl Weathers appears in Fan Duel's Super Bowl commercial. It shows Rob Gronkowski wandering through the desert after missing a field goal attempt in last year's Fan Duel promotion. At the end of the commercial, Weathers pulls up in a motorcycle and tells Gronk to get in. Fan Duel also planned a followup commercial after the halftime promotion with alternate versions depending on whether Gronk missed or made the field goal, and that Weathers would appear in those as well. However, they've decided that the original version of those follow-ups would be inappropriate, so they are redoing them to acknowledge Weathers' death.

Here's the full-length trailer at FanDuel for the promotion:

He was great. I really liked him in Predator.
