Arizona has lost 77 games so the Diamondbacks cannot win more than 85 games. The Dodgers have won 100 games so Arizona cannot win the National League Western Division. The Cardinals and the Brewers each have won at least 86 games, so the Diamondbacks will finish behind at least one non-division winner in the National League Central Division. Atlanta and Washington each have won at least 86 games so Arizona will finish behind at least one non-division winner in the National League Eastern Division.

It's too bad that Bob stopped doing his Toastifieds at the end of the regular season.
Last night's epic fails by the Braves and Dodgers could have provided some insightful commentary.

I will confess that given the Nationals' bullpen struggles pretty much every time they played the Mets, I didn't give them much chance. --Bobsilverscreenselect wrote:It's too bad that Bob stopped doing his Toastifieds at the end of the regular season.

Oh! This is still about baseball. I thought, since Bob has told us repeatedly that he writes the bat phone, that he finally had concluded that Befuddled Joe Biden was toastified in his run for his party's presidential nomination.

With the Nationals making it into the World Series, the only franchise left that hasn't ever won a league pennant is now the Seattle Mariners.
