Doris Day, The Four Lads, Frank Sinatra (Dad), Dean Martin (Mom), but also some early rock 'n roll. When the 60's came along my Dad became a huge fan of The 4 Seasons, Lesley Gore and The Supremes. Mom stayed a little closer to the earlier stuff but surprised me often enough by expressing appreciation for one of my records.

3. Freddie Bell and the Bellboys
I have never heard of these guys. Well, OK, I guess that's not entirely true. I looked them up, and found that they were in a couple of rock 'n roll "make a quick buck" movies that I've seen. Looking at the clips, it still doesn't ring a "bell".
Just not very memorable, I guess. Then again, neither was "Get Yourself a College Girl".

Actually, I remember Freddie Bell and the Bellboys from a marquee at a Wildwood, NJ nightclub when I was a kid.
NOT to be confused with Steve Gibson and the Redcaps (sometimes with Damita Jo), who were a fixture at the Martinique in Wildwood when I was growing up.
TLAF and THFD were quite the fans of Steve Gibson and the Redcaps and took me to see them one night when the babysitter got sick. I was about six and drank ginger ale in a nightclub and I was hot stuff.
