Lizbit graduated from Puppy School. They gave her a piece of paper that said so.
I don't know how she did it. Maybe she copied off someone else's test.
They also gave her a hat.
Mom gave her a cookie. She gave me one, too.

They must have graded on the curve.
Mom says Lizbit is going to take Intermediate next. Obviously, I'm going to have to tutor her a lot!

Annie must be in the same mood I was today.
It's OK Annie. She's got a way to go before she'll be writing any Operas.

I'm thinking Pea's cheeky avatar would be a good final exam for doggie obedience school. The temptation to follow a human command vs. good manners.
Suitguy is not bitter.

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Dogs. No self respect. They sell out to The Man for a lousy cookie.
At least hold out for a couple catnip blunts.
Jeez.

I tried catnip once. It did
nothing for me.
I think catnip is a scam foisted by Hartz Mountain upon gullible felines. At least a cookie gives you something to sink your teeth into.

I never met a cookie I didn't like!
BTW, it has been called to my attention that I was a little crabby last night. Even though I'm certain her "stay" tended to wobble and wander, I may have been somewhat harsh on my little sister. I'm sorry. I was sort of miffed because -- back in the day -- I graduated from Puppy School, too, and all I got was a "Good dog." Lizbit not only got her piece of paper and the funny hat, but the teacher put her photo up on a web site, too:

I guess I was jealous. I'm not any more, because I am more mature, with a great future ahead of me. That's the kind of girl I am.

HA, I say. And hmmph, too.

Only natural, Annie. She got extras on graduation because she came along later, but it balances out. You've been able to spend more time with your mom and the rest of the family than Lizbit has. And I'd venture you're a bit ahead of her in the cookie count.

missanniecamaro --
Catnip is a wonderful thing. It is a real live gorwing green thing.
The Other Redhead sprinkles catnip for me up and down my scratchie post. I roll around in it.
That's her job, you know. She lives to serve. I heard her tell My Boonie that after she gave me catnip.
I do not know this "blunt" of which Bruce speaks. Must be a Virginia thing.
