The rest of the season

#1 Post by peacock2121 » Wed Sep 10, 2008 6:14 am

the political season, I mean.

I think I will watch and marvel at the subtle and not so subtle dancing around the whole "he is black" and "she is a woman" stuff. I think I will watch it like an experiment and be enthralled by the skill or lack thereof of the scientist.

I trust that will keep me sane.

I'm wondering if for the first time in history we'll get through the election season without a single issue being discussed.

At least in the past they at least played lip service to the idea that elections are decided on the issues.

Yep, the b-word (border) was not mentioned at either convention and has not been mentioned since either.

Some delegates at the RNC had signs saying "Close the borders", but they were DNC'd by RNC storm troopers. (I'm only calling it DNC'd because they started it by having their convention 1st and I have used it as fodder).
