You're getting the chance so many of us have been dreaming about--make the most of it!

And good luck to TheConfessor, doing PAF duty on Team Shade!

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

He got The Call on August 11. I think that was while you were away.

No word yet from Team Shade?

I think he may be waiting until Thursday for his turn. (There's no taping scheduled for tomorrow.)

He just finished. I don't know how he did. I didn't get the PAF call. I assume he'll tell us whatever he wants known.

Do you mean that he was in the Hot Seat or that taping has concluded for the day? I'd like to know how to update the Audition List. --Bob

So just out of curiosity (and for future reference), did the AP call you to tell you that he was done? Or did you get a call from him or from a PAF call tree?

Some numbers that I gleaned from being in the audience that will tell us nothing about how well Shade did, but it is fun to speculate.

When I went, taping seemed to start between 12:30 and 1 pm for the 3 'first' shows. They seemed to finish around 3:30 (again this was when I atttended the taping and also it was only the 2nd day of production for the new season, things may have changed since then).
The 2nd audience for the last 2 shows started around 4 pm, it was a little after 4:30 something that TheConfessor posted that he's episode finished. Not knowing if TheConfessor was contacted by TPTB, a fellow PAF or Shade himself - it is hard to judge exactly what time he finished his game (and the falling confetti started).
It is possible that he carried over between two shows and that he had two different audiences.
Given he had to be at the studio by 7:30 am and given the time of TheConfessors email, it looks like he had a 9 hour day - not the worst possible scenario, but a long day, none the less. I would guess he had both a breakfast and a lunch there.

So what can be learned or derived from this data - the only thing I can feel confident about concluding is that TheConfessor will be able to have a good night sleep knowing that he wont be on the hook for Thursday as well.

Shade, all the best - and we are looking forward to hearing about you experiences.

I hope it went well and you warmed up the HS nicely for the three of us heading off one a week for the next three weeks. Looking forward to any info. you can provide prior to going, but I guess I will be there soon enough.

In the long run, hopefully, it was a fun and successful day all around!

Yes, I got a call from the show, so it was nice of them to do that.

Short, to the point of being terse.

Details, man! There must be SOMEthing you can tell us ahead of time! Inquiring (well, okay, nosy) minds want to know.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Terse? yes. I'm not able to discuss any details because of those confidentiality agreements. I'm actually at my part time job right now, but I digress. The experience was exciting and traumatic. :)

Okay, I guess I can wait if I must. *sigh*

Any potential broadcast date mentioned? You should be able to tell us that, at least.

I can tell you that, but I don't know it, lol. They told me and I wrote it down but I forgot the paper and don't remember the date. I will call them to find out and post it here.
