Anyone Want A Sno Cone?

#1 Post by littlebeast13 » Tue Aug 19, 2008 7:31 am

Since it's been 2 weeks now since we've even sniffed 90 degrees, I'm getting kinda antsy for one and my machine's not used to being idle this long during the summer....

It'll also keep me from eating anything this morning so I don't add to what I ate at the chicken dinner we got at work last night.....

You got a chicken dinner at work last night?

What were you celebrating?

Can't you hae a Sno Cone when it isn't 90?

Go ahead! Why not!

Our inventory was last Tuesday, so the Monday night crew got it as a reward for our hard work preparing for it.

I've got a big old 32 oz. cup I use, so I can get pretty chilly eating one of my sno cones, so I usually only make 'em when it's really hot.

Plus I eat them too fast......

You are so much like my oldest, it's not funny. He wants a Slurpee machine. He has a slushy every day in WDW, and can get his bus driver to stop at 7-11 the last week of school for Slurpees. (She loves him.)

I love sno cones, though I've never had a Slurpee or anythig of that ilk.

I bought this little piece of crap at my store 5 years ago for about $20, and the thing still works! And thankfully it does, since the ones we've sold since then don't have room for my big cup to fit under the slot....

He has one of those crank-handle Snowman ones, which is of toy quality. It's in the pool house now, since the last time he used it was to empty out the ice bin for a snowball fight in July.

My kids are good at Creative Mayhem.

Like when could they have snowball fights there anyway when it's 80 in January.... :P

I remember we had the Snoopy one when I was a kid. Real piece of crap, but it really wasn't that far removed from the crummy sno cone maker they had at our neighborhood ice cream joint....

We haven't had snow since Erin was born. It snowed often the winter of 2004-2005, but not much each time. It snowed MLK weekend up in Williamsburg, but no accumulation here. I saw the Williamsburg snow on the Weather Channel while I was in relatively balmy Las Vegas, and thought the kids were getting a treat, but no joy.

Erin an Mini-me make Carpet Angels when they see a shag rug, and Erin wants to make a real snow angel one day...
