Hope your day suits you to a T.
Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Happy Birthday, T-Bone!

You didn't happen to go to the Great American Irish Festival, a couple weekends ago, did you? I feel guilty that I went up to your part of the state without saying something ahead of time.

May it be so for ALL of us, Silver!

It's off to a decent start. At the office, we give Lottery scratchoffs and buy lunch for the birthday person. My winnings today, after 16 years of office birthday celebrations, were a personal best--$44.00--and the tally may go up, as a couple of co-workers forgot to bring their tickets in.

Whoo-Hoo!

No, I didn't. Where was it held? It wouldn't have helped to have known, though..my van was out of commission until a week ago Sunday..I had been grounded for a month until we could get it up and running again.

When we did, my son took me out for our overdue Father's Day outing..a double feature at the movies.."Journey to the Center of the Earth" in 3D and, of course, "Dark Knight".

Yup..bring out the hammer & chisel.

And I had gotten so attached to these "High School Musical 37..The Oldest Living Seniors" underoos, too.

nd when I say "attached", I mean that literally..

Happy Birthday, oh musical one! Hope you had a great day -- and that it is the kickoff to a fantastic year.

It was at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds, in Frankfort. If you like Celtic music, they had some great bands. They also had a line of thunderstorms that wouldn't let up in the afternoon, but that was just part of the experience. While everyone else was huddled under the tents, some teens decided it was the perfect time to play slip-and-slide in the mud, to the cheers of the watching crowds! :)

This was their third year. My first visit, but I definitely plan to return next year!

Happy Birthday to the most knowledgeable music person I've ever known and people sometimes call me for answers to who sang what but you far and away know your stuff.

Hope it was a great day.

Again, thanks to all. It was a quiet but good day. My wife and son had to work, so my granddaughter and I watched "The SImpsons Movie" and et pizza. Not bad at all.

Oh, and grandaughter is fourteen, so no worries on the PG-13 issue.
