Another plane with loss of cabin pressure

Wow, the Quantas plane that lost cabin pressure because of a hole in the fuselage beats my trip. I wonder if they will get vouchers too? About 5 planes lost cabin pressure this week including a plane carrying US Congressmen that had to land in Houston.

Did you see the photo of the plane? My bet is that someone's luggage contained an aerosol can or some other disallowed item that blew in the low pressure of the compartment. Kudos to the flight crew.

That would be some aerosol can.

The 'expert' on ABC actually used the words 'incendiary device'.

Seriously, given the size of the hole and the pattern, he was saying it was something inside that caused an explosion. And he pointed out that the safety systems in place worked just as they should. He minimized the emergency part of the landing which I think is a shame. He said that since none of the flight surfaces or controls were affected it would just be routine landing.

My a@@. I think landing a plane safely with any holes acquired during the flight should be heartily commended. The crew apparently got applauded when they left the plane.
