Better Breathing edition
We have word that FSIL knows about the leave approval. He still needs to sign something, but that'll happen when he returns to base. Now he needs to send us a notarized letter stating he's in the military and a copy of his ID card, so that BD can get the license on her own. Although the town clerk just creates it on the spot, so if absolutely necessary, it can wait until he gets here.
BD is having fun in NYC. At last report, they were visiting Tiffany's, and were about to go look at their registry crystal items. I did not win either lottery jackpot this weekend, and so could not tell her to start buying. Maybe later.
GW's shopping trip with HS's GF was a success. Dress and shoes were purchased. They came home with us, so that HS can see her in them for the first time the day of the wedding. Oh, and a promise ring, if it wasn't answered in yesterday's thread, is a step below an engagement ring. Sort of "You're the one for me, but I can't afford a fancy ring and we can't set a date yet." FWIW, HSGF's mom thinks that HS is great, very polite and helpful and all that. GF really is having a civilizing effect on him.
So for the most part, it's only details, packing and check-writing. And the logistics of that last week with all the people who will be around and/or staying with us.
