Spoiler
He was a darn good player, as was Susie Essman - which kinda surprised me. Betty White has lost a couple of steps, but she's still a terrific player. I'd have chosen to have her GIVE the clues in the final round, though.
There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

Don't see a need for a spoiler on the day after. I agree with KT's description of Betty White. She missed some that would have been a cinch for her, back in the day (of all people to miss the word "paw"...), but that tie-breaker win was just terrific. Nasty word that could have gone on for a while. You could see the contestant thinking about continuing in the bonus round. I think had she been with Essman, she might have tried for it. Betty looked highly relieved that the player quit at that point. Essman had her mindfarts, too, but she was very good.
This was the first episode I've watched from the start. I like the changes in the play. Speeds up the pace to modernize the game but still has the essence of the original.

I didn't know this was on except for Sundays. I was too busy watching and waiting for the Lakers' death rattle.
Didn't watch last week because I cannot willingly watch Rosie O'Donnell, everything about her grates. So I guess I missed all the talk of a different day this week and I haven't paid attention during the 5860570433 promos they've shown this week.
Rats, I wanted to see Betty White. Judging from Caro's critique, I might have been correct in my original assessment that the speed factor would work against her.
I've never heard of Susie Essman. It would have been nice to have another 'game show legend' opposite of BW.

For those who missed last night's episode, it can be seen in its entirety here:

I was able to watch only the first 15 minutes or so, but I thought Betty White was a very solid player in the early going. If she lost it later in the show, I didn't see that part.

Thanks for posting this. We couldn't watch because of storms in the area.TheConfessor wrote:For those who missed last night's episode, it can be seen in its entirety here:
