How did you end up on Millionaire? I work from home . . . (and) I would often have it on when I was working. . . . You watch it, and every once in a while you go, "Oh, I could do that!" One day . . . they had a little thing that said if you want to be contestant, log on. On a total whim, I did it and I sent it in.

Then there was that little matter of having to go to NYC for the audition, wasn't there?

They want to make it sound easy and fun...get you hooked on the idea of it...then smack you in the face with reality!!

Usually, these articles mention the contestants applying online and then making it sound like a big deal that the person qualified for an audition slot.

As if they don't hand them out to everyone who signs up for one.

Not too far from work. Wonder if she's a neighbor of any of my co-workers? That's not out of the realm of possibility.

Speaking of which, I need to ask if our office manager's friend has auditioned yet, and how it went if it has happened. I forget when they were scheduled.
