Lyrically Speaking Game 2

#1 Post by elwoodblues » Mon May 04, 2026 8:48 pm

I got the idea for this one from Vandal's last LS game. Today there are two songs by Led Zeppelin, two by the Grateful Dead, two by Eddie Money and two by Queen.

So for the artist you can use Led, Dead, Eddie or Freddie.

1. Busted, down on Bourbon Street
Set up, like a bowlin' pin
Knocked down, it gets to wearin' thin
They just won't let you be

2. How soft your fields so green
Can whisper tales of gore
Of how we calmed the tides of war
We are your overlords

3. To avoid complications
She never kept the same address
In conversation
She spoke just like a baroness

4. I see you got your list out
Say your peace and get out
Yes, I get the gist of it
But it's alright

5. I've got a surprise especially for you
Something that both of us have always wanted to do
We've waited so long, waited so long

6. Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace
Like thoughts inside a dream
Here's the path that led me to that place
Yellow desert stream

7. How do you think I'm gonna get along
Without you, when you're gone?
You took me for everything that I had
And kicked me out on my own

8. Listen, honey, just like Ronnie sang
Be my little baby

Bonus: Who sang the line "Be my little baby" in #8?

Big shock, I knew them all except the Led Zeppelin songs. Most overrated band of the 70's.... (If there are no humor points, then I shouldn't lose any for saying this....)

Thanks for the extra time, elwood.

Apparently, water heater valves do not appreciate the fabulousness of LS and interfere with real life.
