Brigitte Macron in "Melania"
Went to "Melania" this afternoon-cue the weeping and gnashing of teeth from the usual suspects.
All I am going to say is that I have never had my opinion of someone changed this much with just a little screen as happened with Brigitte Macron today.
It is fair to say that i have never found Brigitte Macron the slightest bit attractive in any of the pictures that I have ever seen of her.
However, there was scene in "Melania" with Melania and Ms Macron holding a Zoom meeting and I swear my jaw dropped to the floor.
i would not go so far as to say she was beautiful, but I have to say there was something there-she was reasonably attractive and I (sort of) understand what her much younger husband can see.
I guess she doesn't look good in still photos but in an active environment of her being enthused about something-she looked really good especially compared with my previous opinions of her.

And being the only person in the theater must have given you a chance to stretch out and get comfortable.

Actually, Melania did quite well.elwoodblues wrote: ↑Mon Feb 09, 2026 2:01 pmAnd being the only person in the theater must have given you a chance to stretch out and get comfortable.
And to highlight the depth of TDS that you and the legacy media suffer from, it has the biggest gap ever between critic reviews and audience reviews.
Facts are facts, even when you choose to ignore them. Makes you look pretty petty.

Melania broke no box office record. The Taylor Swift documentary cleared multiple times what Melania made. These media articles pushed by Bezos exclude that.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 09, 2026 4:24 pmActually, Melania did quite well.elwoodblues wrote: ↑Mon Feb 09, 2026 2:01 pmAnd being the only person in the theater must have given you a chance to stretch out and get comfortable.

Most of the people who saw it and gave audience reviews to Rotten Tomatoes were Trump supporters who were not exactly being objective.
I remember that during Trump's first term Melania hated every minute of it and did not try to hide it. And his supporters still called her the greatest First Lady ever.

LMAO!! You "remember" that, do you? The more the Left's narrative crumbles, the more pathetic some of you get. No one is forcing you to admit you've been wrong, you could just keep your mouth shut. Speaking up and "removing all doubt" is a choice.elwoodblues wrote: ↑Mon Feb 09, 2026 5:08 pmMost of the people who saw it and gave audience reviews to Rotten Tomatoes were Trump supporters who were not exactly being objective.

Is it weird to have your politics dictate what you watch? Even if it’s terrible?

It's weird you care to have an opinion on what strangers choose to watch.

Re: Brigitte Macron in "Melania"
I don’t think so at all. There’s a group in this country that’s always gonna be offended if someone else likes something.
It’s true across the spectrum, but it seems to be happening more and more lately with the right in particular.
See Budweiser. Some transgender person had a Bud Light, so a bunch of people freaked out and refused to have the beer.
See Cracker Barrel. People on the left don’t even go there, because it’s not great, but someone decided to modernize the logo, and a bunch of nuts had a meltdown.
See our recent Super Bowl, where it was proclaimed that a man who was a cross-dresser and who burned the American flag would destroy it, so a bunch of snowflakes had an alternate show. It wound up actually being pretty good, certainly good production values. A couple got married. An island was celebrated. Hard work was celebrated. Seemed fine to me.
The clips I have seen suggested that alternate show wasn’t very good, with a lot of lip syncing, but whatever. No one has had an alternate show up to this point because only now do we have media outlets to coddle such people.
My comment is that it must be very exhausting to be this way. Seems like you can’t really enjoy your life to the fullest if you get worked up this easily and feel like you can only watch certain things and drink certain drinks.

Can't be nearly as exhausting as being the self-appointed White Savior" of the poor dark folks, as well as arbiter of what people "should" care about, talk about, watch, support, and spend their money on. All that venom, and no one answered the initial question (as usual).

Have you taken into consideration any personal mannerisms and so forth that might not come acrosss well to somebody, such as yourself, who is looking to cut her down at every opportunity?

Of course not. She should have been all that is sweetness and light as she, her husband, their family, were torn down and lied about 24/7.Spock wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 6:30 pmAnd you know this how?elwoodblues wrote: ↑Mon Feb 09, 2026 5:08 pmI remember that during Trump's first term Melania hated every minute of it and did not try to hide it.
