RIP Minute Maid Frozen Juices

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Thu Feb 05, 2026 11:45 am

Minute Maid (which is now owned by Coca Cola) announced that it was discontinuing its entire line of frozen juices and other fruit beverages from concentrates. They first introduced their frozen orange juice in 1946. When first introduced, it was difficult for many consumers to get fresh fruit juices at various times of the year, but improvements in refrigeration and transportation have made it possible to get fresh juices in grocery stores 12 months a year. Minute Maid will continue to sell its various bottled juices, as well as the frozen juices already in stock until the supplies run out.

This is terrible news for those who make their own frozen margaritas. i'm going to need a new recipe to use fresh lime juice.

What most people who read this new won't realize is that frozen OJ is not going away. Most juices in the grocery store are made from frozen OJ. So part of the premise of Trading Places is still relevent.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

The first thing I thought of - Dan Ackroyd explaining frozen orange juice concentrate.

Oh no! Frozen grape juice concentrate is a terrific anti-nausea treatment..
