I'm heading down to the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area this afternoon for a couple of days. I'll let you know if I see her. Of course, it doesn't help that I don't know what she looks like.....

Is she still entertaining visitors that have the audacity to keep her away from her computer, or is she traveling, or (perish the thought) has she decided to leave us? Inquiring minds want to know!

Darn it! I tried to stay away for a month, and now I see I missed it by two days! I guess I'll just have to start allllll over again!

:P

(I promise not to do that. But I have two longish trips planned, so don't be surprised if I disappear in late June- early July, then again first and second week of August...)

I am just glad to see her back!

And just post that everyone is okay so I don't have to worry anymore.

Well I know what she looks like......should I post a photo?

Okay--about the last time I posted, I noticed a bunch of checks I had mailed out hadn't been cashed. I called the Postal Service and some vendors I use for the beach house down in NC, and no one had any answers. So I had to call some people and companies and all this other stuff to try to figure out where 18 bills went and how to repay the small companies and whatnot. That took some time, then I finally got some guy to come work on my pool, and he uncovered it to find: no water. So I have a leak somewhere, and even if it isn't my liner, my liner is now shot, so I had to have this other guy come to do the measurements and all, and to date I still don't have much progress on that, and basically, I've just been busy.

Then I figured I'd try to stay away for a whole month just to see if I could, and I missed by two days. So the answer is: no. But close!

We can't be the same person--I had to log my Where's George in as a visitor a couple days ago. I wonder if there is a correlation between an eye-catching stamp and whether or not a bill gets logged. This one just had the URL handwritten on it, and I was the first to enter it, after over a year.

An eye catching stamp is a double edged sword. They get noticed more, and have a better chance of getting hit, but also have a better chance of getting noticed by a snooty bank teller and end up in the Fed's shredder (Not that most of the bills banks send back to the Fed get shredded anyway.... a lot of them just get redistributed out)....

I still occasionally have bills from 4 or 5 years ago get re-entered for the first time, so some bills are just good at hiding out....
