Hall of Fame first baseman in the 1950s and 60s, primarily with the San Francisco Giants, with whom he first signed, and the St. Louis Cardinals, for whom he won the 1967 World Series MVP. He was also the Boston Red Sox first designated hitter, signing out of retirement to do so. Cepeda was nicknamed the "Baby Bull," because his father, a star in the Puerto Rican league, was nicknamed "The Bull."
