Country singer/songwriter best known for Harper Valley PTA (which he wrote), and songs he wrote and performed like I Love, and I Like Beer. Hall was known as the Storyteller because of the detailed lyrics in the songs he wrote.

Age 85.

This takes me back. Hall was a great favorite of both my ex and myself. After we split up, not so much. My favorite songs were Strawberry Farms and I Remember the Year that Clayton Delaney Died. Both very downbeat, but there it is.

Rest in peace, Tom
