The English Beat and General Public’s ska pioneer Ranking Roger dead at 56
This hits close to home. The English Beat and General Public were both very prevalent in my 80's experience. Loved the music and both bands were always a GREAT live show.
RIP, Roger, you've had a rough couple of months.

They didn't mention this song in the obit, which is the song I most know them by...great tune.

As many times as they played that video on VH1 Classic back in the day, I must not have paid much attention to it since I just noticed the theme of the video and how it ties into the title of the song...
This is the only English Beat song I am familiar with, and likewise "Tenderness" for General Public...
