Thanks for that cake Vanal! I love it.

I took the day off (and tomorrow) to "celebrate" and to burn some vacation days.

I'm doing a bit of gambling today. I made a wager with Pacific Life this morning. I wagered that I will die before I turn 75. They accepted, wagering I will live longer. I hope they win the bet.

I have a current wager with John Hancock. 17 years ago we wagered on whether I'd live to be 63 or not. I wagered I wouldn't, they wagered I would. I almost won that bet 10 years ago, but they ended up staying in the game.

Happy Birthday, BiT.

Here's hoping you lose that bet and any others (although next time around, you may find it harder for someone to take your bet).

Have you considered investing in MegaMillions or Powerball tickets instead?

I think John Hancock won his own wager a couple centuries ago, so at least you've made it around longer than he did....

And happy birthday!

Thanks for all the B-day wishes. I spent the day at home watching a guy install a new security system, which I will be using my 3-day out, and they will have to come remove it. ADT for those interested. I was sold on the cameras and ability to see clips of activity online, etc. The problem is, the clips are only 30 seconds and the recorder is not reactivated my motion for several minutes. So theoretically you could watch someone come into your driveway, walk around looking for 30 seconds and then the next recording shows an empty driveway with no car. That has little value. I should have done my research but my wife got talked into having them come and give us their song and dance. I saw a demo but assumed the cameras would record activity as long as there was motion detected. Oh well, the guy yesterday did correct some faulted system connections to our windows so the next system I put in they will be all working.
