I get mauled by a psychotic (male) kittycat whenever the stalking mood comes over him & he finds me without my cat-sprayer. On those rare occasions he falls asleep cuddled in my armpit instead of stalking, I murmer to his ear "please don't eat my face".

That's what happened to the lady who needed the face transplant. After she was in a suicide-attempt coma & hadn't fed cat for about a week.

*My* cat wouldn't wait nearly that long.

Its about 100 degrees here, drenching humidity, I cope with fans (not the kind that adore me, though that would be nice) & ice.

Its global hotting I say.

Is that political enough? I haven't strength for more right now.

Stockholm Syndrome by cat?

This cat, Pawtucket Tucker (the shelter in Pawtucket RI wouldn't let us out without a name, even though I told them "he hasn't told me his name yet") was rescued from a basement in the aforementioned Pawtucket along with his Mom, sister & brother when the ittle-bittles were about 2 weeks old.

I met Tucker when he was around 4 weeks & the shelter had me come back for him at 6 weeks. His mom was one of those almost-alien-looking Siamese cats. Certainly not a real feral cat. Very affectionate with the kitties & any visitors.

Nevertheless, Tucker has attributes of a real feral; no-one is allowed to cut his toenails, for instance. No vets can get anywhere near him without him going berserk, to the point they think he's going to have a heart attack & die (after scratching them real good).

So he must have got these killer instincts from his unknown orange tabby daddy.

If its Stockholm Syndrome its too late for me; I've had him 16 years now.

On the way up from the shelter, all 60 miles, he just wailed & I had to take him out of the carrier & cuddle him about every 10 minutes. He likes me, in his own peculiar way.

When he's not in stalking mode.

(I will never let a cat loose with me alone driving after a trip I took with the cat that decided they would like to be under the clutch & brake peddles. They're squishy little things. Cats, that is. We both made it alive, but never again.)
