This is just so bad.

In Carrie's recent Fresh Air interview she told about how her Mom surviving & recovering from the last stroke was a role model to her, except Debbie "occasionally said a few "non-Mom-like" things" to the aides.

I'm so sorry to learn this.

Fisher Stevens (no relation) has made a documentary that's going to air on HBO sometime in the next couple of months (I wouldn't be surprised if they moved it up) in which he spent a lot of time behind the scenes with Debbie and Carrie chronicling their relationship. He apparently got very close to them and has taken these events quite hard. Here's an interview he did a month ago about the documentary (including a couple of brief clips):

I had forgotten (until reminded) that she was the first person to appear on screen with the Batmobile.

Or rather, what became the Batmobile -- the Ford Futura in the forgettable "It Started With A Kiss."
