Had a good string of hits, my favorite was "The Night Has A Thousand Eyes".

Re: RIP Bobby Vee
This is getting to be too much blanking much.
I'm glad I got to see the reunited Everly Brothers before Phil died.
I'm not in general a fan of oldies shows, though I admit to watching the very-good-taste ones on PBS from the comfort of my livingroom, OK, the Everlys are in a whole 'nother class, but, gee, these people aren't going to be around forever after all.
Except on record.

I was also lucky enough to see the Everlys before Phil passed, on the Simon and Garfunkel tour. Most expensive tickets I ever paid for, but I can honestly say I don't regret a single penny spent. Twice I had tears in my eyes: Once during "Bridge Over Troubled Water", the other time when Phil and Don sang "Let It Be Me". I swear to you, when I closed my eyes and just listened, they still sounded like those sweet-voiced teenagers.

Re: RIP Bobby Vee
So, how did I miss the fact that Phil Everly died? Probably because no one cares anymore. Bobby Vee dies - who gives a shit? Only old people. Not one mention on ET or any news sites. Not on CNN. Nowhere. Only thanks to friends like Melly. I saw the Everly's in 1958 when they were on tour promoting All I Have To Do Is Dream. Also saw them again in the 90's. They still sounded great! The Concert at Royal Albert Hall was so awesome.
