The Boney 500: Songs 134 and 133

134. GLAD ALL OVER-DAVE CLARK FIVE (1964)
Album: Glad All Over (U.S.)
A couple of Top 10 records are today's song entries:

A huge blast from the British Invasion that introduced us to their signature sound: The pounding, relentless drums
of Dave Clark, Denny Payton's roaring sax, and Mike Smith's gravelly but appealing vocals. It was a winning combo
that served them well for many a great hit record. This debut single even took our minds off those Liverpool guys for a couple of minutes...

133. O-O-H, CHILD-THE FIVE STAIRSTEPS (1970)
Album: Stairsteps

Always loved the silky vocal on this, gliding down from the "ooh-ooh" down to the rest of the line. It's a really
nice performance. A really good bridge between 60's and 70's soul.
