Today's three additions to the songlist include a classic rock staple, a bubbly British Invasion charmer, and an obscure track from a not-so-obscure artist..
269. BRAIN DAMAGE/ECLIPSE-PINK FLOYD (1973)
ALBUM: The Dark Side Of The Moon
I'm counting this as one song, as it flows from one immediately into another, and on the radio, they are
always played together. The two serve as the epic conclusion to the classic album considered by many
folks to be the greatest of all time. How does it fare on MY album list? You'll see, you'll see.
268. JUST A LITTLE BIT BETTER-HERMAN'S HERMITS (1965)
ALBUM: none, other than best-of compilations
Sometimes, you can't explain why you like something, you just do. Of all their great hit singles,
this one is my favorite. It's such a happy sounding song, like much of their records. It just takes me
back to a more innocent time, when none of us knew enough to think of snickering at the vocal hook that
follows the end of each chorus ("a ho, ho, a ho, ho").
267. LOVE HAS COME OF AGE-KENNY LOGGINS (1979)
ALBUM: Keep The Fire
This song centers around one nasty little rock groove--admittedly not the first thing that comes
immediately to mind when you think of his music, but this packs a pretty nice punch.
