About a million years ago, some of y'all posted good anti-virus protection brands. On that advice, I got Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and set it up to scan every day, but I have caught a horrific bug anyway. I'm not E-mailing any of my friends until I can get my new computer installed, hopefully tonight.
Actually, most of you said to install Malwarebytes and a second program, but I can't remember what it was. Please advise.
Also, any help on moving all my Word, Excel, and Adobe files over to the new computer would be greatly appreciated.

It does a good job and does not have a HUGE footprint (does not require large amounts of system resources), as do the big boys like McAfee & Norton.
And yes, you need this antivirus in addition to the malware blocker. They protect you from different things.
A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five.

Pay for the premium Malwarebytes so it will do an active scan. That is all I use.
