ARMED FORCES APPRECIATION WEEK
Jason Davenport
Las Vegas, NV
Jason is a lieutenant commander and has been in the Navy for over 20 years; currently he's in the Reserves. Jason just got engaged and his fianceé will want a bigger wedding. Also his mom is living with him since her house was foreclosed on and he can help get her back into her own home. Jason and his family grew up in Chicago and didn't have very much. Jason has no lifelines left.
$250,000: All but which of the following actually existed, according to a book listing the "100 Biggests Branding Mistakes of All Time"?
A - Ivory chewing gum
B - BIC pantyhose
C - Smith & Wesson bicycles
D - Life Savers soda
A branding mistake implies a combination that isn't logical. He notes that BIC makes pens and Ivory makes soap. The one that stands out to him is
B
but he's not confident enough to risk $50,000 on a guess. He has to walk away.
Answer: A (Ivory chewing gum)

I'm betting that I have no lifelines left either.

Sayonara.

I don't know what lifelines I have left. I know there was a Life Savers soda and, thanks to "American Pickers" I know that Smith & Wesson manufactured bicycles. If I have my 50:50 I'll use it and hope A and B aren't left. I might risk it on the chance that people might not want to buy a chewing gum that tastes like soap.
