I have mostly been occasionally lurking here.

Yes, mostly on FB.

But wanted to check in with this milestone.

How time flies!

He was still in kindergarten when we got this thing rolling, right?

That sounds about right.

The other day I went to a Happy Hour from work after a meeting. It was to a new local brewery called Two Roads. He asked me to check it out to see if it was somewhere he and his friends would want to hang out.

Now I get to scout out bars for him.

Did you give an honest report? Or was it "Oh, no, you and your buddies would never want to hang out at a place like that!"

Well they certainly make a wide variety of beers! We have five brewpubs (some with more than one location) here but none have such a large variety.

I was honest. He is pretty responsible about drinking and driving. First, a DUI would probably get him kicked off the team. Secondly, he probably wouldn't get into the Academy when he graduates.

The bar closes early (9 pm) since it is mostly a brewery that only recently expanded into the bar. And there is no food. You can bring in food and they have a rotating number of food trucks that visit on certain days.

They tend to look for cheap wings and cheap beer. :-)

That is the plan.

And since she was able to retire 3 years ago, not a bad plan.
