Driver turns the table on carjacker

#1 Post by jarnon » Fri May 22, 2015 6:54 pm

Atlanta carjacker Edgar Horn got a big surprise when his intended victim, Hashim Fannin, pulled out a legal handgun and apprehended him.

Mr. Fannin has a way with words:
WARNING: Raw dialogue and video
"You picked the wrong motherfucker to try to rob today."
"I wasn't trying to rob you."
"You weren't trying to rob me. You just get right into people's cars."
"No, I thought you were my friend."
"You thought I was your friend. So you woke up stupid this morning."
"Everybody makes mistakes."
"You made a mistake. You got in my goddamn car. Yeah, you're right. That is a mistake. You were going to rob me. So apparently you must have thought I had a 'Rob Me' sign on me, right?"

In a twist on stereotypes, Mr. Fannin is a young black man, while Horn is a white dude around the same age as me and SSS.

This is not the first time Mr. Fannin turned the tables on crooks:

There's a strange (and unnecessary) discrepancy in the News story. The guy at gunpoint is lying down next to a Nissan Murano, as if that's the victim's car. I think the victim even pointed to it as he spoke. Several close-ups during the story are of a Nissan Altima. I wonder why.
A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five.

Yeah, that was kind of strange, although the original incident happened "earlier this month" and this story is a follow up interview perhaps two or three weeks later, so the reporter probably asked the guy to meet her at the scene of the crime and forgot to ask him to bring the same car. I'm more interested in who the guy's camera crew was. He really seemed to be playing to the camera and almost seemed to be overacting scripted lines from an action film.

The dark Altima is Mr. Fannin's car. You can see it clearly in the raw video (if you don't mind the salty language).
