RIP (Maybe) NFL Blackout Rule

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Mon Mar 23, 2015 1:19 pm

The NFL has suspended the Blackout Rule for 2015 season for both regular and preseason games, so fans in Jacksonville and similar cities will have the privilege of watching every single crappy game their team plays, home and away. Since there were no blackouts in 2014 and only two in 2013, I don't see the rule returning any time soon. However, I do know that here in Atlanta at one time TV stations would sometimes buy up the last few tickets to a home game and give them away to make sure they could televise the game, so the NFL will probably be watching to see if that occurs.
