March madness in Rivendell
No, not that March madness. The month of March means birthdays for my wife, my two daughters-in-law and my older granddaughter. It's a tradition that we celebrate by going out to dinner but every year it's the same thing - trying to find a date and time that's acceptable to everyone and then picking a venue, which among other things has to have a kid-friendly atmosphere and menu. Last night was the night and the venue was Shogun Japanese steakhouse - a clone of Benihana's, basically. Hibachi grill, chef doing tricks, etc. I must say I was disappointed in the show - the chef didn't do a lot of tricks and didn't engage in much patter. But the food was good and everyone was happy.
