I was channel surfing and came across something called the CNN Quiz Show. Since I like quiz shows, I tuned in.
The host is Anderson Cooper. They had 3 teams of CNN correspondents playing for charity. They were asked questions about Presidents. The topics covered everything from Presidents on money (did you know McKinley is on the $500 bill? I didn't), presidential pets (John Adam's dog, Satan, came up) famous people who knew Presidents, etc.
At the end of the game each team picked from a set of 4 presidents (Reagan, Eisenhower, LBJ, and Kennedy) and had to answer a question about the president they chose. They showed a video and were asked a question relating to it. The team that picked Reagan was asked which state he didn't win in the 1984 election. They guessed New York, bet all their points, and wound up with zero. I was screaming MINNESOTA at the TV.
I liked the show and learned some good Presidential trivia. I think it would be more fun if they got average people on there and made them answer some of those questions! I'd sign up to be a contestant.

Imagine that. Taking a game where ordinary people could answer questions for money, and changing it so that celebrities answer questions for charity instead. Who could possibly think that's a good idea? --BobKazoo65 wrote:I was channel surfing and came across something called the CNN Quiz Show. Since I like quiz shows, I tuned in.

Considering that this is CNN, I think this is all about their correspondents and that they'd have no interest whatsoever in a game show with regular contestants.

I agree with Marley. I enjoyed it, but it seemed clear to me that it would never be a regular person type of show.MarleysGh0st wrote:Considering that this is CNN, I think this is all about their correspondents and that they'd have no interest whatsoever in a game show with regular contestants.

I haven't seen it, but I can't imagine the CNN employees coming out ahead, with their image of omniscience intact. Any question they get right will be taken for granted, since it's their job to know stuff and that's why they're on tv. Any question they miss will only chip away at their credibility.SportsFan68 wrote:I agree with Marley.
