Icky weather coming

#1 Post by Kazoo65 » Fri Jan 02, 2015 2:47 pm

We haven't had much snow since mid November. That is all going to change starting tomorrow. They put us under a winter weather advisory from tomorrow morning to Sunday. We are going to get freezing rain, sleet, rain, and maybe ice which will eventually turn into snow as the temps drop. Ugh. I was hoping for a mild winter.

Next week we get the Arctic air and it will be cold and snowy. I hope the groundhog sees his shadow this year.

We had snow here yesterday:

Come to Californian, Kazoo. They're saying it's cold out here because the nightly lows are getting down to freezing

Meanwhile, (except for the first couple days of my visit) the days have been bright and sunny and in the 50s. That's okay by me! 8)

It's supposed to be 24° overnight but will be back in the 70s next week. The cold air is moving east - due east.

We didn't get the ice storm (I think Silver's white hot glare works in Michigan) but now we're under another weather advisory for lake effect snow. Then the freezer door opens and we get Arctic air for most of this week. Sounds like a repeat of 2014.

Sounds like a repeat of winter.

Seriously, unless we move to tropical climes, we can expect them to happen with some frequency.
