British crime novelist best known for her series of mysteries featuring Scotland Yard detective Adam Dalgliesh. She also wrote the science fiction novel, The Children of Men, in which mankind is threatened by a worldwide male infertility, which was made into a movie directed by Alfonso Cuaron.

Age 94.

Wow! 94!

I'm usually really terrible at figuring out whodunnit, but I did recognize who the murderer was halfway through in A Taste for Death. She was great. I can't really say I'll miss her. I've read only two of her books and probably wouldn't have read those if a co-worker hadn't given them to me.
