Democratic Family Values

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Wed Apr 02, 2008 11:47 am

Since some criticized me for not publicizing Elliot Spitzer's party affiliation:

The husband of DEMOCRATIC Senator Debbie Stabenow has been caught in a Michigan prostitution sting.

Thomas Athans, who is also the co-founder and former CEO of Air America Radio, apparently paid $150 for a good time with a 20-year-old hooker in Troy, MI in February. Athans was not arrested but was followed and stopped by police after he left the motel room, where he claim he went to visit a "friend" he met online. Apparently, he will be testifying against the hooker, who was arrested. The woman ran internet ads where she called herself "Kasey" and claimed she was "a young blonde hottie here for your total enjoyment."

Athans and Stabenow have both declined comment.

Obviously the economy in MI is in much worse shape than New York's if the going rate for political hookers is $150 instead of $5000.

Maybe she was paid for 5 minutes of work. That translates to an hourly rate of $1,800.

All I can figure is that politicians (and their husbands, I guess) like to go fishing. You'd think that big strong two-footers could put on their own bait without help, though.

Or maybe he is just a frugal man.

The problems come from where they're dangling the bait and dropping their hooks.

Gotta watch them bobbers, too.

I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Yeah, but what was the hooker's party affiliation?

From what I understand, the NYC 'labor' rate actually is only $150, but when you add in the federal, state, city, and 'value added' taxes, it 'bumps' it up to $1500.

No, no, please stay seated. I can show myself out...................

The NY legislature is working on this year's budget and I don't know why they wouldn't consider that. Yesterday, they decided to add an extra $1.25 to the current $1.50 a pack cigarette tax. Nobody gets in trouble for raising sin taxes, right?
