Flying Squirrels win World Series (sorta kinda)

#1 Post by SpacemanSpiff » Fri Oct 31, 2014 6:29 am

When the Giants beat the Kansas City Royals 3-2 in Game 7, half of San Francisco’s eight starting position players were former Squirrels (shortstop Brandon Crawford, second baseman Joe Panik, first baseman Brandon Belt and left fielder Juan Perez). Several other former Squirrels were in the Giants’ dugout and bullpen.
