Journalist arrested for filming public event

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Tue Sep 02, 2014 5:17 pm

This arrest occurred in Georgia. Apparently some of the politicians on stage weren't comfortable having their words recorded for posterity.

The confrontation begins shortly after the 14-minute mark.

This arrest is triggering considerable outrage. The Attorney General of Georgia has criticized it. --Bob

..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

I didn't watch the whole thing, I fast forwarded to the spot where the action started, but I noticed the speaker was talking about the job statistics here in Georgia. One thing he didn't mention was that Georgia's unemployment rate under our wonderful Republican governor and General Assembly is currently 50th in the country, despite all those wonderful corporate giveaways to entice companies to come here.

The unemployment statistics consider DC a state, so Georgia isn't dead last in that regard. Thanks goodness for Mississippi.

Too many police in this country are out of control. I expect to hear of a massacre any day. :(
