October 24th, watch me on Wheel!
I had my big trip to LA to appear on Wheel of Fortune and had a great time. On Wednesday, I went to O'Brien's Pub Quiz. I was on a team with recent contestant Chris Ngoon. We tied for 2nd with Uly's team, but he beat us on a tie-breaker (What is the lowest score you can get to win at 2048?). 1st place was a team with Jerome Vered, Cliff Galiher, and Hans Von Walter. I talked to Hans a bit after the game. Then I went back to my hotel and crashed.
Thankfully my body was still on East Coast time so I was able to get up a 6 a.m. and get ready for the shuttle to pick me up. Jeopardy! and Wheel use the same crew, so I saw the same sound guy and Tony Pandolfo threatened to throw Uly and me out for talking in the audience. My make-up was done by Sandy on both shows. I love her! I told her about O'Brien's Pub Quiz and she was interested in checking it out sometime. She's very fond of Jerome.
Another WWTBAM connection-Eric Camacho, whose show is going to be October 20th, was on the show with Regis in 2001. I
Uly was my lone friend in the audience. I'm so happy he volunteered to come and cheer me on! I was on the 5th show of the day, so it was a long day in the studio for him. He took some pictures of me with the cardboard cutouts of Pat and Vanna.
