FWIW - BINGO!

#1 Post by gsabc » Fri Mar 28, 2008 6:51 pm

In my e-mail tonight. I no longer get GSN with my "advanced" basic cable, so unless they're posting the numbers on a website again, I'm SOL. The link, BTW, is http://www.gsn.com/bingo (DUH!)

BINGO RETURNS TO TV
PREMIERES ON GSN THIS MONDAY, MARCH 31!
FREE CARDS NOW AVAILABLE
ALL BINGOS WIN $50

Dear Gordon,

I am writing because you are one of the bingo players who played our game "National Bingo Night" when it aired last year on ABC-TV.

As the creator and producer of the show, let me begin by thanking you for participating in this vast experiment -- to see if we could create a TV show that was fun to watch, and a game that was fun and easy to play at home at the same time. It was always our primary goal to create a show that families could watch and play together and enjoy. We loved hearing about parties people hosted where friends gathered around the TV and played together.

Through the course of the first show on ABC we awarded more than $600,000 in prize money to viewers at home.
But we did not get everything perfect, either on the TV show which aired, or on the sweepstakes you played and entered. The reason I write, is we are coming back on the air, and, after taking into account all of your feedback, I am excited to say I think we have a better show for you, and a better game for you to play as well.

AIRTIME - GSN
Beginning on Monday March 31st at 7pm EST, and continuing every weeknight for eight weeks, we are launching "Bingo America". This new show airs on GSN, the Game Show Network (not ABC) and you will need to check your local cable listings or satellite provider for the channel it is on. The show is also repeated at 11pm every night, which is especially convenient for bingo players who are out at the bingo halls in the evening, so you can come home and enjoy more bingo late at night without missing out.

The new cards are available right now. There is a link on the bottom of the page. As always, the cards are free. The site will ask you for a user name the first time you visit, and you may print as many as ten cards per show.

HOW IS THIS SHOW/GAME DIFFERENT
Patrick Duffy (Dallas, Step-By-Step) is the host, and this time the TV program is based on fast-paced trivia.

Most importantly for home players, this time the game in the studio has been streamlined so that the numbers will come much faster for your game at home! Each show on GSN is 30-minutes (the ABC show was an hour) and in each telecast we play two games of Bingo (on the ABC program there were 3 games).

Additionally, there are "Bonus Numbers" on each card, and these let you play along with our bonus game at the end of each show. As our daily champion calls out his/her lucky numbers in an attempt to win cash from our Bonus Board, if he/she calls out both Bonus numbers on your card that is an instant win for you at home.

One other major difference, our ABC show was on once a week, and on GSN we are on every weeknight Monday-Friday so we have a more regular game and there are more chances to play and win!

THANK YOU

I think you will like the new game, and I think you will enjoy the home game even more.

Again, I want to thank you for playing with us the first time around. It means a great deal to all of us who work on the show. We are proud of the new program and again, hope it is something you will enjoy with friends and family!

Best of luck and thank you again!

Sincerely,
Andrew Glassman and the "Bingo America" team
