Interesting Olympic hockey statistic. Since Switzerland won the gold medal on its home ice in 1948, all but one men's Olympic hockey medal have been won by six countries: United States, Canada, Sweden, Finland, Russia (in its various forms), and the Czech Republic (in its various forms). Germany won a bronze medal in 1976.
That will hold true this year as well. Sweden vs. Finland and U.S. vs. Canada in the semis.
