Merv's Crosswords -- 1/30 (spoiler)

#1 Post by NellyLunatic1980 » Wed Jan 30, 2008 5:02 am

We have an historic moment on today's show (or today's first show if you're in a double-run market):
Spoiler
The "champion" had -$250; therefore, he won no money. He failed to finish the puzzle, so for the first time ever, all five contestants went home empty-handed.

Oh my!

But the runners-up still get those watches, don't they? So they might have ended up winning more the the champion!

I saw a finish like this a month ago or so, so maybe this is the repeat.

This show is not only boring and confusing to watch but cheap as well.

Spoiler
I'm sorry you go home with nothing but your pride. But you do go home a Crosswords champion. When I saw this thread subject earlier and a new post on the Crosswords thread on the J! board I was looking for a recognizable game show face.

Instead the posts were unrelated and here only about the unusual outcome.

Four letters - Second person mentioned in the Bible

One contestant guessed Adam and another guessed Noah. Nope x 2.

Tough one!
