Anybody want some bridge stuff?

#1 Post by Ritterskoop » Wed Jan 23, 2008 12:49 am

I reviewed a computer game several years ago and they keep sending me stuff.

This is a book entitled A Computer's Twist: Play problems for you with Bridge Baron Analysis, and two CDs (Windows only)* called learn and Practice Bidding Conventions. They list stuff like Unusual 2NT and Michaels, Splinters, limit raises, Jacoby 2NT and negative doubles, so this is not way advanced stuff.

The book has some discussion of Vienna and Scissors Coups, so it's more challenging, but you are hearing the computer game's analysis of the hands, so I don't know how helpful it is unless you want to beat computers. But it's going to do no good sitting here, so please holler if you want it and I'll send it along.

*I guess they did not note anywhere I reviewed this game for About This Particular MACINTOSH (my caps).

Hey Skoop -- hollering.....

New Pard wants to play Jacoby 2NT, which I've never played, I want to play splinters, which she's never played, and half the other pairs play unusual NT, which neither of us has ever played, so I think it would be very helpful.

Thanks!
