Woke up to snowfall this morning - local schools are on a two-hour delay and schools in outlying counties in Kentucky and Indiana are closed. It's not expected to amount to much, though one never knows for sure. But the traffic reports were pretty rough - lots of minor accidents on the expressways. Taking the bus in this weather is always a pleasure - I don't have to worry about the driving and they seem to get where they're going, albeit slower than usual (I was about 10 minutes late getting to the office).

Spent part of the day yesterday at a rally at one of the African-American churches in the city - our church is a "partner congregation" and some of us went for their MLK celebration.

It started raining here around 4:00 a.m.

My daughter had to be at school by 6:00 to take her Honors Algebra II/ Trig final.

She thinks it's funny that it's raining. She has a PE final today and part of the final is running the mile in 8 minutes or less. She did it on Friday because she wanted to get it over with, but many kids did not because they were goofing off. If the track is muddy, they will not be able to run today and only the kids who did it on Friday will get a good grade in the class.

6AM to take a final? What's up with that?

She is a wise girl. I hope she keeps making good decisions in life. Tell her I hope she makes an A on that final.
