There Will Be Blood

I saw There Will Be Blood over the weekend. It is a very powerful film that really challenges its audience in ways that most other films don't approach. Daniel Day-Lewis is just working on another plane than any other actors. He gives the most amazing performance I have ever seen on film. They might as well engrave his name on the Academy Award right now. I had really loved Viggo Mortenson in Eastern Promises, but I don't think any actor alive today could have given the kind of performance that Day-Lewis delivered.

I'm still trying to process all I saw in the movie. I guess that's testament to a great film, that it stays with the viewer for as long as it has so far... Highly recommended, but be prepared for more than just simple entertainment.
