Weird American Idol request

#1 Post by Ritterskoop » Wed Jan 02, 2008 3:44 pm

I don't like to watch the first three weeks of rejects shows. They are heavy on rejects, with maybe two good singers in a two-hour show.

My request is, if someone could keep track of when the occasional good singers are (45 minutes in, and again at 1:22, or whatever), and post that or send it to me if I'm the only one who wants it. That way I could record the shows but only watch those couple of good spots.

It is very lazy of me, and a lot to ask of you, whoever you are. But if you're watching it anyway, maybe a note on when the good ones are won't be too much trouble.

Thanks.

I'll try to remember, Skoop, to do this whenever I watch.

Tuesday night is the one night I'm always gone. Otherwise, I would love to volunteer.

Thanks!

I will have class on Tuesday nights, so this will save me wading through the whole show on tape when I get home. Once they start the second season, I like watching the whole thing, but that first season wears me out.

I don't think I even watched the audition shows last year, maybe one of them. I don't really like the search for the next William Hung. I'll check out the first audition show but it is like that again I'll be waiting for the real competition to get under way. It's also like preseason football with all the backups, people watch because they are football (or AI) starved. If any appearance jumps out at me I'll try to point it out.

I rooted for Melinda last year but now I'm so glad Jordin won. I bought her CD when it came out and I loved it! It is now one of the favorites in my collection. I saw her New Years Eve appearance and a couple other interviews and it looks like she's having lots of fun as well.

But one man's reject is another man's solid gold.

After all, I beat Jennifer Hudson!

I am hoping to not watch the show this year, but the kids may end up wanting to watch it.

I will be watching on tape. I will be seeing the shows way after the fact. If you haven't seen them after a week or so - I'm your gal.

Let me know if you want to be that far behind.

I'll be watching them at least until they get to Atlanta, because a set of twins from my school auditioned and made it at least as far as the callback round. I'll try to post if no one else does.

Just remember that my idea of good doesn't always mesh with other folks'.
