Well, she had a lot of time left when she gave her answer, but she didn't verbalize her thought processes at all. She was probably thinking of the Atacama Desert.

I'm glad I watched "The Endless Summer" otherwise I wouldn't have known the answer to that question.

Now that's pretty funny! Given the rampant geo-nitwitism that permeates the show and impacted both this cast member and the Wabash washout I would be rather surprised if she had ever heard of the Atacama Desert.

That it is in Chile and not Peru wouldn't have helped her case much either.
