What a wonderful quiet day to write up Bored games! (That is what everyone does on Christmas morning, isn't it?)
I've got 4 weeks worth of games down, and am about halfway through the fifth week. I've already trashed the idea of trying to do a 3 month game (I wanted to end it in February anyway so that come March I could start thinking about what's really important..... baseball!), so I'm looking at a 9-week January-February run right now.
I plan on starting next Monday, New Year's Eve (TiV, if you've already got a game planned for the 31st, go ahead and do it anyway), and I'll probably have my official announcement up on Friday....

YAY for LS!
Meanwhile, on yesterday's LS, so you really like Christmas, eh? Ha! Have you always been this way or is it because you work in retail?
Funny thing, I am with you all the way on the Christmas thing. Except for living with my parents, I have never had a Christmas tree or a single decoration. Until 4 years ago, when I moved into such a big house that everybody decided 'holidays are all at your house now!'. Had I known that was going to happen, my little bungalow wouldn't have seemed quite so small. Ha!
Anyway, as much as I don't care for 'the holidays', I LOVE Christmas songs (and Christmas shows, if they're the Rankin-Bass kind or sappy type movies)! Although I mostly like the secular stuff, about winter and snow and being at home, etc. Then again, I'm not hearing them over the PA for 8 hours, either.
PS I finally figured out while reading your answers that DNC means "did not chart". I keep seeing it as DMC and was looking for Christmas in Hollis. Ha!

I grew out of Christmas in my teens. With four younger materialistic sisters I grew to dread the morning...
I'm the one in the family who's the most impossible to shop for because if I want something, I go out and get it myself. That kinda puts a damper on any "wish list" I might have (well, stuff anyone in my family could afford, anyway)... and I hate hearing the question countless times every year "What do you want for Christmas...." Dammit, don't get me anything!!! Especially since I don't do shopping for anyone else. I just give my closest family money every year, and nobody's ever returned that yet!
I have actually become numb to holiday season now at work, with the exception of the damn songs. I no longer think September is too early to put out Christmas stuff (We put out Valentines candy last week!), I don't mind losing all my feature space in the cleaning department to all the gifty items, and the crowds don't even bother me anymore.
I'd probably appreciate Christmas more if I never got to see my family, but literally everyone in my immediate clan save for an uncle lives within 20 miles of my house! Nobody's much up on family gatherings since we already see enough of each other as it is....
And Christmas sucks even worse this year because it's on a Tuesday. That means, after having last night off, I have to work tonight before getting my regular 2 nights off Wednesday and Thursday. It's enough to mess up even the sleep pattern of a vampire....
